Year 4 - Woodpeckers
Welcome to Woodpeckers Class.
The Woodpeckers Team comprises of Mrs Thomas and Mrs Stickley (class teachers) and Mrs Jarvis (teaching assistant)
During this year we will be diving into exciting History topics like the Rotten Romans, learning how they grew their Empire. We will bring this to life with a visit from a Roman Centurion and his nemesis, Boudicca!
In RE we will be exploring the spread of early Christianity from Jerusalem to the wider world.
In Geography we will take a tour around the Mediterranean as well as exploring features such as Deserts, Earthquakes and Volcanoes.
In Science we will cover a range of topics from Plants and Animals to Electricity and States of Matter.
We will learn to write across a range of genres, from Poems to Narratives to Fact Files.
In Maths, we will continue to develop our fluency and mathematical understanding with a focus on fluency of times tables. In the Summer Term, the children will complete the national Multiplication Tables Check.
Where it is meaningful and purposeful, we will make links across the different areas of the curriculum.
